AWS announced on 2026-10-16 that its Transform service can now automatically change Azure SDK code in .NET applications to the matching AWS SDK calls. The tool scans your source, suggests changes, and lets you approve or tweak them before it rewrites the code. It handles Azure Functions → AWS Lambda, Azure Blob Storage → Amazon S3, and Azure Queue Storage → Amazon SQS; Cosmos DB → DynamoDB is still in preview. The feature is live in eight AWS regions, including US East (N. Virginia) and Europe (Frankfurt).

## The facts

- General availability announced on 2026-10-16 ("Today, AWS announced the general availability of application code conversion…").
- Supported in eight AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt, London).

## Why it matters

Developers can move .NET apps from Azure to AWS faster, reducing manual rewrite work.
