Google announced Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on November 5, 2026, with video clips up to 15 seconds long, up from 10 seconds in the previous version. The model is generally available through the Gemini API and Gemini for business, while Google says it is rolling out across other products and platforms.

For 720p video, Google has cut the price by 30% to $0.07 per second. Clips can be set to any length from three to 15 seconds. Google also describes a workflow that starts with lower-resolution drafts, makes corrections through follow-up edits, then upscales selected videos to 1080p or 4K.

## Edits can build on the same clip

The new model supports multi-turn conversational editing: users can ask for changes to a generated video, such as a different background, lighting or aspect ratio, without generating the whole clip again. Google says this works across clips of up to 15 seconds, which could let a creator make variations of an ad without rebuilding each version from scratch.

Google also says Omni 1.2 Flash follows reference images, short motion clips of up to three seconds and audio cues more consistently. Its examples include a virtual try-on video made from a model photo and product shots, with the model’s identity and clothing details preserved through 360-degree turns. These are examples supplied by Google, not independent test results.

## Availability varies by product

Google lists the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Google Cloud Console, Flow, Google Vids, the Gemini app and Google Ads as places to use the model. In Google Vids, 15-second clips are available at no additional cost to people with a Google account or Google Workspace subscription. Access through the Gemini app is rolling out to Google AI Ultra subscribers. Google says generated videos carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark.

The company also says the model produces more natural dialogue and clearer lip-sync, handles multiple speakers, and makes complex camera moves with fewer unwanted cuts. Google notes that work remains on fast sports action, rapid script changes and complex physics, so those uses may still be challenging.

## The facts

- Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash supports clips from three to 15 seconds; Omni 1.1 topped out at 10 seconds.
- Google set the price for 720p video at $0.07 per second, 30% below the previous version.
- Google Vids offers 15-second clips at no additional cost to people with a Google account or Google Workspace subscription.
- The Gemini app rollout is for Google AI Ultra subscribers.

## Why it matters

For creators and businesses making short videos, conversational edits could make it easier to change a background or produce ad variations without regenerating every clip. The lower 720p price is confirmed by Google, but how much editing saves in practice depends on the work and remains untested independently.
