At a Microsoft event in San Francisco on Wednesday, Jensen Huang and Satya Nadella announced RTX Spark, a new PC platform that packs an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and Grace CPU into Windows laptops and compact desktops. Pre‑orders opened on Oct 7 and the first laptops will ship on Oct 16, while desktops follow in November. The system offers up to 128 GB of unified memory and up to one petaflop of FP4 AI performance, enough to run large models like Qwen 3.8 Flash locally without cloud access.

## The facts

- Pre‑orders begin Oct 7; laptops ship Oct 16, desktops in November.
- RTX Spark combines up to 6,144 GPU cores, a 20‑core Grace CPU, 128 GB memory and 1 PFLOP AI compute.

## Why it matters

Enterprise developers can run high‑end AI models on their existing Windows PCs instead of renting cloud clusters.
