# Amazon S3 Vectors 新增元数据预过滤，提升筛选搜索效果

Amazon S3 Vectors 现在会在相似度查询前增加元数据预过滤步骤。对于筛选条件较严格的查询，返回的匹配向量数量最多可增加 5 倍。新增的 $startsWith 运算符可用于筛选类似路径的字符串。现有索引只需调用一次 UpdateIndexMode，即可切换到该模式；新建存储桶默认启用此模式。这项更新将向所有 AWS 商业区域推出，且不收取额外费用。
