Hardware startup Aina has introduced a $399 smart ring with a screen, joystick, microphone and speaker. It can show phone notifications, control apps on a Mac or phone, take notes, send prompts to AI agents and make calls. The ring also supports gestures and can control music and smart-home devices, including Apple TV. Pre-orders open Thursday at an early-bird price of $399; Aina plans to ship in January 2027, and says the price will rise to $499 after the early-bird period.
Why it matters
For people who use AI agents and apps across a Mac and phone, the ring offers a wearable way to send prompts and control those devices, though Aina’s software and features are still being developed.
