Amazon announced Live Data in Apps for its Quick service. The feature lets AI‑built Quick apps run SQL against Quick Sight datasets each time the app is opened, instead of using a static snapshot. The query runs as the viewer, so row‑level and column‑level security rules apply automatically. Users must be authenticated Quick users and give one‑time consent for each dataset.
Business users can see up‑to‑date, permission‑filtered metrics without needing separate refresh processes.
