Anthropic announced that Claude Managed Agents can use dynamic workflows in beta. The new feature lets an agent write a workflow—a program that runs multiple agents in phases and merges their outputs. To enable it, developers set the agent’s multiagent field to {"type": "multiagent_20261001", "workflows": {"type": "enabled"}} and cue the run in the system prompt. Workflow progress appears as workflow_run.* events in the session’s event stream.
