Anthropic announced two new beta features for its Claude assistant. The first, called Dashboards, lets users link data sources such as BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, or Salesforce and create live dashboards simply by writing a text prompt. Each number in the dashboard shows the query that produced it, and the output can be sent to tools like Amplitude, Grafana, or Hex. The second feature, Motion, turns a text description, diagram, or image into an animated explainer video that can be edited as code and exported as an MP4 file.
Who can try them now?
Dashboards is only available to Claude users who pay for the service. Motion is limited to teams on the Team and Enterprise subscription plans. Anthropic also announced that Docs, Slides, and Design are leaving beta and will be usable by anyone, including free‑account holders.
What else changed?
Anthropic said more than 45 million documents have already been created with its suite of tools. The company plans to fold the previously separate Claude Design feature into the main app by Dec 14, and it has published a migration guide for existing users.
Why it matters
For business users, Dashboards means they can build up‑to‑date visual reports without writing SQL, saving time on routine analytics. Creators can generate quick explainer videos with Motion, avoiding separate video‑editing software. Availability is still restricted to paid plans, so free users will need to upgrade to use these tools.
