Arm says its AGI CPU offers double the rack performance of AMD EPYC 9755

Arm claims its new data‑center processor delivers about 2× the performance per rack on agentic AI tasks, based on its own evaluation method.

Arm announced that its AGI CPU, built for agentic AI workloads, can provide roughly twice the performance per rack compared with AMD's EPYC 9755. The figure comes from a modeled rack calculation that combines chip speed and server‑power assumptions across seven workloads. The results were generated using Arm's new evaluation methodology and were verified by an independent analysis from Signal65. Arm says the methodology is intended to become a standard way to measure agentic AI performance.

Why it matters

If the claim holds, data‑center operators could run the same AI workloads with fewer servers, lowering power and hardware costs.
