Atlassian announced a platform update that lets AI agents work alongside people with shared context, identity, and task control.

Atlassian Corp. introduced the Agentic Multiplayer Protocol (AMP) at its Team ‘26 Europe event. The update gives AI agents an identity, authority and data context so they can act like team members but stay within admin‑defined limits. A new “Rovo Work” mode lets the company’s AI assistant handle multi‑step tasks that humans review and approve. Developers also get Rovo Code Search, which plugs source code into Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph for richer agent context.

Why it matters

Teams can use AI agents as regulated teammates, reducing manual effort on complex tasks while keeping human oversight.
