Amazon Web Services has added India-based inference for Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3 model on Amazon Bedrock. Customers can select an India geographic inference profile, which AWS says keeps processing within its Mumbai and Hyderabad Regions; global inference remains available too.
AWS also shared sample code for using Kimi K3 to read Indic-language documents, extract fields and answer follow-up questions in Hinglish. Ultrahuman says it uses the model for its health assistant, handling more than 14,000 conversations a day.
Why it matters
For Indian organizations with data-residency requirements, the new profile offers a way to use Kimi K3 while keeping inference in India; AWS does not give pricing for this option in the announcement.
