U.S. robotics firm Figure got rid of its older F.02 AI robots by tossing them into a 75‑ton furnace of molten steel. The company said the older fleet was too costly to disassemble because it contains proprietary tech. CEO Brett Adcock asked for ideas on X and was advised by Arnold Schwarzenegger to melt them, which the company did.

It shows that companies may choose to destroy outdated AI hardware rather than recycle it, raising questions about waste and security.
