Developers behind AICodeWith have launched a free, browser‑based game called Taipei GTA. It runs at https://taipei-gta.vercel.app/ and lets players explore a crime‑filled version of Taipei. The site includes a language selector in the top‑right corner.

How quickly the game took off

Within three days of going live, the game recorded 1.2 million people playing at the same time. That level of traffic is unusual for a hobby‑level browser title.

Why it matters

For casual gamers, the game shows that AI tools can produce large‑scale, playable experiences without a traditional budget. It also means anyone with a web browser can try a GTA‑style game without installing software, though the long‑term stability of the site is unclear.
