The llama.cpp project released a UI update on Oct 17, 2026. It adds a Discover Models view for browsing and downloading Hugging Face GGUF models. Downloads can now be paused and resumed without losing partially downloaded files. Side‑car files are handled more reliably, and the UI shows download status clearly.
Users can more easily find and manage model files, saving time and bandwidth when downloading large AI models.
