The ggml‑org team posted a new release of llama.cpp (tag b11787) on Oct 21 2026. It provides pre‑compiled binaries for macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, iOS, and several Ubuntu configurations including CPU, Vulkan and CUDA 12.8. The release also contains a code change that collapses duplicate need_check launch bodies in the SYCL backend. Users can download the appropriate package from the GitHub release page.

Why it matters

Developers can run LLMs locally on more hardware without building the code themselves.
