Jessica Herrin, the creator of Stella & Dot, announced that her new company Marklo AI has closed a $5 million seed round. The round was led by Forerunner Ventures with participation from Freestyle Capital and several angel investors. Marklo’s software pulls sales, inventory and marketing data from Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta and other services, then uses AI to suggest which products to promote and drafts campaign briefs. The tool is already being piloted by more than 100 brands, including Away and Latico Leathers, and will be available for free trials ahead of the holiday shopping season.

Why it matters

Small and medium consumer brands can test an AI‑driven campaign planner now, potentially cutting weeks of manual planning into days.
