Meta has rolled out a new tool on Facebook called “Your Algorithm.” The feature adds two buttons – “interested” and “not interested” – to posts and the three‑dot menu. When you tap a button, the system updates your feed and Reels in real time, showing more of what you like and less of what you don’t.
How it works
The buttons let you give quick feedback on individual posts. Meta says the system may follow up with a short question to learn more about your preference. The company also claims it uses large language models (LLMs – the kind of AI behind ChatGPT) in its ranking algorithm, so you can type a sentence like “show me more cooking videos” and see an immediate change in what appears.
Where you’ll see it
Your Algorithm is available on the main Facebook app and on Facebook Reels. The same idea was launched on Instagram earlier in 2026, and a similar “Dear Algo” option exists on Threads, but this is the first time the buttons appear directly on Facebook posts.
Why it matters
For everyday Facebook users, the new buttons give a simple way to shape what shows up in their feed without scrolling through settings. It could reduce unwanted posts and make the experience feel more personal, though the actual impact on what you see still depends on Meta’s algorithms.
