Meta launches enterprise AI platform and appoints former MongoDB CEO

Meta announced on Monday that it is rolling out a new service called Meta Enterprise Platform. The offering bundles the company’s AI products – the Muse personal assistant, a Meta Business Agent, the Muse API for developers, and a tool called Muse Code – into a package aimed at corporate customers. The move follows the launch of Muse earlier in September, which can draft emails, book travel and perform other tasks for individual users.

Who is leading the effort?

Meta hired Chirantan “CJ” Desai to head the platform. Desai was the chief executive of database company MongoDB and previously ran product and engineering at Cloudflare and held senior roles at ServiceNow. In a statement, Desai said the platform will turn Meta’s AI stack into products and services that companies can deploy for their own operations.

Enterprises will now have a direct line to Meta’s AI models and agents, which could help automate routine tasks, improve customer service and speed up internal development.
