Ollama published version 0.40.6-rc0 of its model‑serving tool. The update stops orphaned Windows runners, adds two new GGUF tensor/file types (q2_0), and enables the Clef interface on Ollama’s cloud. It also introduces identifiers for question keys in –ask mode. The changes are listed in the GitHub release notes.
Developers can now run Ollama on Windows without stray processes and use newer, smaller tensors for faster inference.
