Prime Agent, the multi‑agent coding assistant launched in August, is now available in a Rust rewrite. The team says the new version runs up to 14× faster to accept input and uses over 80% less memory after startup. The rewrite was done autonomously by the agents themselves, testing against the original TypeScript code for feature parity.

Why it matters

Developers using Prime Agent will see noticeably quicker response times and lower resource use on their machines.
