Prime Intellect announced on Oct 13 2026 that it has bought Moondream. Founders Vik Korrapati and Jay Allen are joining Prime to lead inference work and to speed up multimodal model development. Moondream 3.1, which excels at object detection and crowded‑scene analysis, is now offered through Prime Inference using the Photon engine. The acquisition also brings Moondream’s Photon compiler, which can run more than 60 inferences per second on a single NVIDIA H100 GPU.
