Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio adds custom tooling blueprints

Admins can now use their own CloudFormation templates to set up project environments across SageMaker Studio.

NoteBy Published by Oossa: 1 min read

Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio now lets domain administrators create custom Tooling blueprints. They author an AWS CloudFormation template that defines the project environment—like IAM role names or permission boundaries—and register it. The service checks the template when it’s added and each time a project is launched, ensuring required resources exist. The blueprints work across accounts and Regions and automatically fill in parameters such as project and domain IDs.

Why it matters

IT teams can enforce company‑wide naming and security standards automatically for every new SageMaker project.
