Apple has started shipping its new HomeView smart display. The 7‑inch square device costs $299 and arrives on Nov 13, 2026 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa and India. It works as a HomeKit hub, a Matter controller and a Thread border router, letting users control lights, thermostats and cameras with Siri voice or touch. The screen switches between up to six user profiles using facial recognition and an Apple‑intelligence iPhone on the same Wi‑Fi network.

Why it matters

HomeView lets families manage smart‑home devices and personal info without pulling out a phone, centralising control in the kitchen or on a wall.
