Cloudflare today released Auto Router in public beta for its AI Gateway. Users can set their model to cloudflare/auto and the system will route each request to the least‑expensive model that can handle the task. In internal tests the router cut costs by up to 30% compared with always using top‑tier models like OpenAI’s Sol or Anthropic’s Opus. The feature is free while in beta and aims to help organizations keep AI spend under control without users having to choose models manually.
