Everspin Technologies displayed the world’s first MRAM memory that talks to a system through Compute Express Link (CXL) at the SNIA Developer Conference in September 2026. The CXL‑connected MRAM sits between DRAM and NAND flash, giving processors and AI accelerators a quicker place to fetch data. The demo showed lower latency and less idle time for CPUs during AI workloads.
Why it matters
A faster, persistent memory layer can keep AI chips busy longer, improving overall performance and energy use.
