FieldAI Inc. is reportedly looking for $700 million in new financing. A source told Business Insider that the round could lift the company’s valuation to about $10 billion – roughly five times what it was worth in August 2025. The company has already signed a term sheet, a non‑binding outline of the deal, but the investors have not been named publicly.

What the money could fund

FieldAI builds AI models that let robots navigate without pre‑drawn maps, GPS, or a constant internet link. The models fuse data from cameras, lidar and radar into a continuously updated digital twin – a live simulation of the robot’s surroundings. That lets robots adjust to changes, such as dim lighting, and reduces the setup work needed for automation projects.

Recent milestones

In March the startup added support for Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot, expanding its reach into four‑legged platforms. By June the company said it had passed $100 million in revenue and contracts; a later update put that figure above $135 million. FieldAI now serves more than 30 customers in construction, energy and the public sector.

Why it matters

If the funding closes, FieldAI can accelerate development of map‑free navigation, making robot deployment cheaper and faster for factories and construction sites. That could lower the cost of automation for midsize manufacturers that currently struggle with expensive mapping and sensor setup. It remains unclear which investors will join the round or when the money will actually be available.
