Frore Systems announced its LiquidJet Diamond coldplate series for high‑power AI GPUs. The plates use a diamond‑coated surface and a 3‑D micro‑jet channel to cool hotspots that can reach 770 W per square centimetre. The company says the coldplates can lower GPU temperatures by as much as 22 °C compared with standard plates and boost AI token throughput per watt by up to 35 %. They are offered as individual, bespoke plates for GPUs such as Nvidia’s Rubin and AMD’s Instinct MI400/MI500 series.
Why it matters
Data‑center operators could run AI GPUs hotter without overheating, potentially lowering cooling costs.
