Nvidia unveiled a new product called the DSX Pod AI Factory. The pod fits seven Vera Rubin AI racks into a single shipping container and can be driven on ordinary roads. All the cabling and liquid‑cooling hardware is already installed at the factory, so customers only need to place the container, hook it up and run a final test. Nvidia says the pod can shrink the time to get a new AI data centre up and running from about six months to roughly 14 days.

What’s inside the pod?

The DSX Pod is about the size of a standard container and weighs close to 28,000 kg (nearly 62,000 lb). Each pod holds seven Vera Rubin racks, which Nvidia’s analysts estimate cost more than $7 million per rack. The design is a reference model that will be built by Nvidia’s manufacturing partners, including Foxconn, Gigabyte, Lenovo, HPE, Quanta and Pegatron. Deliveries are slated to begin in early 2027.

Why it matters

For companies that need large AI compute capacity, the DSX Pod could make it faster and simpler to add power without weeks of on‑site assembly. The plug‑and‑play approach may be especially useful for European customers who have faced deployment delays, according to Nvidia.

Why it matters

The pod lets businesses add massive AI compute in two weeks instead of months, reducing downtime and project costs. It also simplifies logistics for firms that lack in‑house integration expertise, though exact pricing and performance details remain undisclosed.
