Synthesia, the UK‑based video‑creation company, made an interactive avatar of journalist Alexandru Voica after he visited its new New York office. The avatar can only talk about one of Voica’s stories on venture‑funded startup fraud, using the firm’s voice‑to‑text, language and video models. It took the team a few days to record his face and voice, then train the avatar. The demo shows how Synthesia’s Roleplay Sessions let users practice conversations with AI avatars that respond and score answers.
